Launching Cristo Rey San Diego High School - Maria Moodie
Time & Location
About the Event
Cristo Rey schools advance the Catholic tradition of educational excellence and individual formation in underserved communities. Today, more than 11,000 students from low-income families are enrolled in Cristo Rey schools across 21 states and DC. At Cristo Rey schools, students work hard in the classroom and beyond. Each student works 5 days per month at a professional job, earning the majority of their tuition. 100% of Cristo Rey graduates are accepted to college, and students complete high school with four years of corporate work experience (https://www.cristoreysandiego.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=749803&type=d&pREC_ID=1159333).
A Feasibility Study Committee, comprised of community volunteers, are working to launch Cristo Rey San Diego. Cristo Rey San Diego will be a private, Catholic, college preparatory school that exclusively accepts students from low income families, and is on target to open in fall 2020. Join us to hear Feasibility Study Coordinator Maria Moodie present on this life-changing education and work experience program soon to be available to students from low-income families in San Diego. To get involved, please contact Maria Moodie at email@example.com.
