John Dunlap has been a prosecutor since 2004, serving in Maryland from 2004-2009, and in Virginia from 2009-2012, before moving to San Diego to be closer to family. Biography:

THE HONORABLE WILLIAM V. GALLO was appointed a magistrate judge for the Southern District of California in 2009.  Before taking the bench, Judge Gallo served as federal prosecutor for 20 years in the Northern District of Illinois from 1989-1991, and in the Southern District of California from 1991-2009. While in law school, Judge Gallo earned a commission as a Second Lieutenant and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve from 1978 to 2005 retiring at the rank of Colonel.  While serving in the Marine Corps Reserve in 2003, Judge Gallo was called to active duty as a Reservist in response to a Presidential call in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  From January to October, 2003, Judge Gallo served as the Commanding Officer of the First Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group.  Thereafter, from October 2003 to April 2005, he served as the Staff Judge Advocate, that is, the senior legal adviser, to the Commanding General of the First Marine Expeditionary.  After returning to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Judge Gallo was appointed as Director, Law and Order Task Force in Iraq working directly for General David Petraeus, the Commander of all troops in Iraq at the time.  Judge Gallo held this position from January to October 2008.

Judge Hargrove served as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of California for 23 years and also served as Chief Bankruptcy Judge from 2001 to 2006. Steve S. Mattia is a San Diego native with lifelong connections in the San Diego and Southern California area.
